About the Course

The translation of Srimad-Bhagavatam is perhaps Srila Prabhupada’s greatest gift to the world. As you browse through the pages, you are sure to find a relevant story, an inspiring personality, a striking situation, a philosophical exchange, or a powerful life lesson that will illuminate your heart. Every word serves to remind you of the greater journey that you are on and fills you with clarity, hope, and inspiration.

Now is the time for you to develop your own relationship with this scripture. In this course, which will cover the first half of Srimad-Bhagavatam (Cantos 1-6), you will learn about each pastime and how it powerfully relates to your daily life. The course is based on Sutapa Das’ newly released “Book Bhagavata,” which helps one to memorise the entire flow of this transcendental literature.

Bhagavata Life is for those who have completed our level one and two courses, Explore and Gita  Life, and for those who have a good understanding of our Krishna Consciousness philosophy, If this is you and you're looking to develop a greater understanding of our faith through the valuable and timeless life lessons shared in the wisdom of the Srimad Bhagavatam’s first six cantos, then this course is for you.

Teacher Profile

Coming from a Hindu Bengali family in South London, Niskincana has often grappled with notions of identity, morality, in-depth vedic knowledge and its relevance to modern social discourse. However, overriding all these areas of enquiry, was the question of our nature of existence. What is our true identity? Where are we coming from? Where are we going? These were the questions that really preoccupied Niskincana’s interests.

After many years of seeking avenues to real happiness, he finally came across the teachings of Śrilā Prabhupāda, the founder of the Hare Krishna movement. Having served as a monk for the last ten years at the Bhaktivedanta Manor temple, Niskincana has seen how the Krishna-conscious way of living can truly benefit people in all facets of existence from the social and political to the emotional, psychological, and, off course, the spiritual level.

Through the School of Bhakti, Niskincana’s focus is to build up and bring the magic of Krishna-conscious education into people’s lives in a contemporary and relevant manner. He is also an avid amateur stage actor and loves entertaining people with Krishna-conscious dramas!
